Madeleine Bellmond was born in Bonnyville, Alberta in 1948 and has lived most of her life in the northern part of the province.  From a very early age art has been a focal part of her life.  She has experimented with various mediums and for many years fabric was her chosen favorite.  Madeleine has exhibited in various group and solo shows throughout Alberta, winning many awards for her bright and novel creations.  Madeleine traveled to Nova Scotia in the spring of 2006 to create the beautiful canvases on the walls of Between the Bushes Restaurant.  She combined this trip with a visit to family living in the area and took her inspiration from the Annapolis Valley and the Minas Basin.  These paintings depict her view of our local attractions and our way of life.  You may see more of Madeleine’s work by visiting her website at mtbellmond.com or contact her by phone at (780) 892-2056, by fax at (780) 892-2592, or by email at telus.net.  Madeleine now resides in Wabamun, Alberta with her husband and two Jack Russell terriers.
