Commercial Pickers

All children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.  Commercial picking season starts in late July and goes to the end of October, crop and weather permitting.

There are three Blueberry Acres commercial harvest locations: Middle Dyke Road and Saxon Street in Sheffield Mills, and Jackson Barkhouse Road in Medford.  Bus service is available on the farm:  throughout the day for the Sheffield Mills locations, and only at the start and end of the harvest day for the Medford location.

Our fields are well maintained and groomed to a height and characteristic for ease of picking.  Our blueberries conveniently grow within easy reach on high bushes.  Cultivated varieties of blueberries grow large and sweet -   it doesn't take long to fill up your flats.

Don't forget!  Pack your lunch with lots of water and sunscreen for a day of relaxation in the berry patch.  A great suggestion for ease of picking is to use a clean plastic 2 litre container, fastening the container around your neck comfortably.  Look at the picture of our picker in the upper left hand corner.  Our pickers use scarves, wide shoe laces, narrow belts, etc.
