Our u-pick is family friendly.
Parking and picking are wheelchair accessible. We will make every effort to place customers with strollers, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. in a field by the check out. If berries are not available close at hand, please have your accessory collapsed and ready to put on the bus. The bus driver will ask you to remain off the bus until everyone else has gotten on. You will be seated and your accessory will be loaded last and placed at the front of the bus.
Between the Bushes Restaurant washrooms are accessible through the restaurant, or from our u-pick Front Porch service counter area, with a bit of help at the porch entrance. The family washroom has wheelchair access.
There are outhouses within walking distance of the u-pick fields "just in case". There are hand washing facilities by the outhouses.
The gazebo waiting area is next to the Front Porch service counter. Our u-pick bus meets you at the waiting area and transports you to the field, and brings you back when you are ready. Not all of our u-pick fields require busing.
We supply Blueberry Acres u-pick boxes to carry your berries home in, and u-pick containers to pick into. If you have our Blueberry Acres u-pick boxes, please bring them back to reuse. We give you a $1.00 discount on a minimum purchase of 6 lbs of blueberries per box. We encourage reuse and recycling.
There is fresh drinking water taken to the u-pick field each day.
Perhaps you would like to reserve a table in our climate controlled restaurant; if you wait too long, the tables may all be booked....best to reserve beforehand...582-3648 Between the Bushes Restaurant is open this year until 3 pm, during the u-pick season only. Due to limited space in the restaurant and patio, only customers ordering off the menu will be able to be seated. Although Between the Bushes is closed on Mondays, it is open Labour Day Monday this year!
Our Front Porch cashier will be happy to assist you with any purchase you choose to make from a selection of our own condiments, blueberry juice, retail items, and fresh produce including our 5 lb boxes of pre-packed blueberries.
After your picking experience, Blue Tongues are welcome at the Front Porch!
Due to our Safety Program, pets are not allowed in the fields or in the buildings. As we don't have shaded areas for your vehicle, we recommend you do not leave your pet unattended in your vehicle. Please leave them at home, where they have all their creature comforts.
